This Privacy Policy applies to the CarAI mobile application (the "Application"), developed by Pinak Faldu ("Service Provider"). CarAI is a premium, account-based service. By creating an account and using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account Access and Mandatory Information

Unlike anonymous photo editors, CarAI requires a registered account to access its AI-powered features. All features are hosted behind a secure login and, in most cases, a subscription paywall.

To provide these services, we collect and store:

  • Authentication Data: Your name, email address, and unique user ID provided during sign-up (via Email, Google, or Apple ID).
  • Subscription Status: Verification of your active premium plan to unlock app functionality.
  • Account Metadata: Date of account creation and last login.

Note: You cannot use the transformation features of CarAI without an authenticated account. This allows us to sync your subscription across devices and manage your AI processing credits securely.

Information Collection and Use

While we prioritize on-device privacy, certain data is necessary for our cloud-based AI to function. When you use the Application, we collect:

  • Usage Data: IP address, screens visited, session duration, and app version.
  • AI Inputs: Image content/uploaded car photos, prompts, and style selections (processed while the AI job is active).
  • Technical Logs: Error logs and diagnostics to ensure the stability of the premium experience.

This information is NOT used for tracking you across third-party apps, sharing with data brokers, or targeted advertising.

Subscription, Payments, and Paywalls

CarAI is a freemium or paid service. Most core AI features require an active subscription or one-time purchase.

  • Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. CarAI never sees or stores your credit card number or billing address.
  • Entitlements: We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. They receive an anonymous identifier to confirm you have paid for access, ensuring your premium features remain active.

Image Processing and AI Data

AI transformations occur in a secure cloud environment.

  • Temporary Processing: Uploaded car images are sent to our secure processors to perform the requested edit.
  • Retention: Third-party AI processors are contractually obligated to delete your uploaded images within 72 hours.
  • No Training: We do not use your personal car photos to train our AI models or any third-party models.

Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: Your final edited images are stored on your device.
  • Cloud Storage: We do not maintain a permanent gallery of your images on our servers. Once the 72-hour processing window expires, the images are purged from the cloud.
  • Security: We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit between your device and our AI processors.

Account Deletion and Data Controls

As an account-based service, you have full control over your data:

  • Revoking Permissions: You can manage camera and gallery access via your device settings.
  • Account Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing pinakfaldu3748@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
  • Immediate Purge: To request immediate deletion of images currently in the 72-hour processing queue, use the subject line "Data Deletion Request - CarAI".
